Q: What are the symptoms of low blood pressure?
Im going to the doctors tomorrow about this but i was wondering if anyone with low blood pressure has symptoms like these:

Constantly lethargic
Lightheaded and dizzy when standing up
Fast heart beat when moving
Tiredness
Pale skin
Trouble breathing
Nearly fainting after having a hot bath

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

A: I’m all of the above – it runs in my family!
Try drinking lots of water. It raises your blood pressure. Increasing your salt intake will help your body to retain water (although too much salt isn’t good for you, and it might cause bloating – not so great!). I know this helps me a bit.

For the most part, I’m not too bothered, though. I’ve learned to stand up slowly after laying down and I make sure to have plenty of time for rest!

Q: What is the symptoms of low blood pressure? is it a bad news?
i want to know what is the symptoms of low blood pressure?
is it a bad news ?

A: There are no symptoms for blood pressure, weather it be high or low.
I have had low blood pressure most of my life, it was taken at the doctors office several times and was 48/70. the nurse always takes it twice to be sure its reading right. I did not feel any differant than the times when it was 70/120.
When I am very relaxed mine gets pretty low. but there are no symptoms

Q: blood pressure symptoms question?
would someone have symptoms like headaches dizzy and eye pressure from high blood pressure if there blood pressure was high and if so how high would it need to be would 180 over 112 be high enough to cause symptoms and cause short term damage.

A: Mine was 160 when I found out I had high blood pressure. I would get a little dizzy after climbing a flight of stairs. A friend of mine’s was 230 before taking medicine and she said she didn’t have any symptoms other than feeling stressed. I don’t think you can depend on having any symptoms though. You might never know until you blow an artery – and I’m guessing you won’t know then. If you have worries, you should check with your doctor.

Q: People with low blood pressure: What symptoms do you get?
Do you feel out of breath or get any funny sensations in your chest? What symptoms do you get?

(yes I am seeing a doctor)

A: You too huh? Well, my blood pressure is so low that whenever I get it taken at a new place, they have like three different people come take it to make sure they’re reading it right. Then they keep asking me if I feel ok. I don’t think I get a lot of symptoms other than being cold all the time, it hurts to get my blood withdrawn, and it hurts to get my blood pressure taken if they blow up the bag too much. But I may be so used to being me that I don’t have anything to compare to as far as symptoms, you know? The doctor says I must run a natural low and as long as I feel ok not to worry. (((Tash)))

Q: Blood Pressure……symptoms?
what r the symptoms of high blood pressure? my mom had 170/110 but she didnt have any recognizable symptoms. She is also a diabetic.

A: Your mom’s blood pressure is concerning. The scariest thing about hypertension (high BP) is that it is known as the “Silent Disease/Killer,” because many times there are no symptoms. Some people get headaches, but for others – no symptoms at all. They will feel fine. Hyptension and Diabetes put your mom at risk for a stroke, heart attack, and other organ damage, like the kidneys. The good news: You can really help her by controlling high blood pressure with diet, exercise, and medications, controlling blood sugars with medications and lifestyle changes, and controlling high cholesterol with diet, exercise, and drugs that will help lower cholesterol. Really encourage your mom to do these things, and to see her MD immediatley.

Q: What are symptoms of low blood pressure?
Yesterday I was not feeling good at all, I was at the mall with my sister and my mom and I started to feel dizzy, lightheaded and weak. I hadnt ate till the morning and it was about 3pm, so I was pretty hungry, if that has anything to do with it. my parents were thinking maybe it was low blood pressure, what exactly is that? Do you think that I have low blood pressure? Should I go to the doctors if it happens again?
I’m 13 if you are wondering.

A: Low blood pressure is exactly that- the blood pressure in your body is low. Most older people have high blood pressure but when you have low blood pressure you might feel occasionally dizzy, weak, lethargy, have your vision go a little ‘dark’…sometimes this will happen if you stand up too quickly.

I’ve got low blood pressure- other than making sure my doctor knows about it I don’t really do anything but keep an eye on it. My doctor recommended something caffeinated daily in order to help keep my blood pressure normal (like a coke or a cup of coffee,) since caffeine will increase your blood pressure.

Q: My blood pressure is 105/68-not considered low, but i have low blood pressure symptoms, do i have LBP?
some of my symptoms are rapid heart, and passing out

A: Yes

Q: what are the symptoms of low blood pressure?
can weight gain be associated with low blood pressure. I have had very low blood pressure for years now.

A: Dizziness (especially upon standing), cold hands/feet, fainting and severe low bp can cause chest pain and/or heart attack.
Never heard of weight gain being associated with weight loss.

Q: Can drinking water help lower your blood pressure? How about gout symptoms?
If it can why doesn’t the Doctor emphasize it?I’m not a water drinker, but I’m only reminded to drink water when I’m giving blood for a test, sometimes and to help with weight loss. I’m wondering if it would lessen ‘gout’ symptoms in my big toe joint also.

A: Sorry but drinking water does not help lower blood pressure. There are many in the natural health field that recommend drinking a lot of water to help prevent and treat gout. The truth is water does not help much. If you drink very little water each day it can help a little. Your doctor does not mention it because it really does nothing to prevent the conditions.

There are some things you can do to help prevent gout attacks. Here is an article that can help.

Q: what r the symptoms of blood pressure?
is muscular pain is one of the symptoms ?

A: Not exactly but its important to identify since when you are experiencing muscular pain. Did the pain start after a strenuous exercise or workout or was it after a hectic day or something else. Also is it accompanied with fever or not. Merely a muscular pain cannot be considered a sign of high blood pressure.

High blood pressure or Hypertension as it is medically called, is often Asymptomatic but may have certain warning signs as in Morning Headaches usually felt at the back part of the head with Dizziness & Fatigue. Often it is diagnosed only when the blood pressure is checked, else it often goes unnoticed.

You need a proper monitoring of your Blood pressure along with assessment of other risk factors like Family history, Your Past history, Intake of any Long term medications, Smoking & Alcoholism & so on. Investigations like Lipid profile (To know the total fat content in your body), Blood sugar & ECG are very useful to identify high risk patients.

Hope that answers your query

Q: What are the symptoms of high/low blood sugar/pressure level?
How would you know that you must get your blood sugar/pressure checked.. what are the symptoms?

Since last 2 weeks, i have been feeling dizzy, sleepy and tired.

A: A combination of things. Dizziness and sweating can be indicative, but a main one is an unquenchable thirst. If you can’t stop drinking, get it checked.

Q: What are the general symptoms of cholesterol and blood pressure and diabetes?
I mean to ask how do we find out if one is suffering from cholesterol, diabetes and blood pressure without checking blood samples?

A: high blood pressure tends to give you violent headaches. diabetes makes you thirsty and you drink large ammounts of fluid, you can also have swelling of the hands and feet, itchy skin and so on, here in the united states many drug stores have free to use blood pressure meters.

Q: How can I manage symptoms of low blood pressure (hypotension)?
I am really struggling managing symptoms for something that is supposed to be really good! Any help would be greatly appreciated….

In addition to postural hypotension (which can be managed by sitting/lying down) I also get dizzy and lightheaded, my skin gets clammy and I feel nauseous. I am also tired all the time, despite eating greens, jogging every other day, sleeping the requisite 8 hours and drinking plenty of water.

What’s going on???

A: It’s not exactly “really good”, and it’s even worse when it’s hot, or if you live in a hot place, or if you workout too hard, etc.

(I have that too…)

I manage it, drinking lots of water and soda (I have hypoglicemia also). And by eating olives or licking pure salt.

I always carry salt with me, you can put it under your tongue, ’cause thare are lots of vases there and its absorved very fast by your body.
I usually feel ok in a few minutes after that.

xxx.

Q: what are symptoms of low blood pressure?
if i am feeling weak, faint, very dizzy, seeing black, and if my heart is beating really fast …are those symtoms of low blood pressure?

A: Use the following site for some accurate reference about low blood pressure.

P.S. To bring up your blood pressure….drink coffee. It’s a stimulant and will help your BP go up to a more normal level

Q: I started taking Lisinopril/Hydrochlorothiazide for high blood pressure, are these symptoms normal?
I now have very bad dandruff, my skin is wrinkled and kind of life less, my eyes are dull. I have been adding lots of vegs to my diet, and doing some exercise, but I still look tired all the time. Is this normal?

A: Well I don’t think that the Lisinopril/Hydrochlorothiazide has anything to do with the symptoms that you are describing I take the same kind of medicine along with two others to control my high blood pressure. The name of the other two are metoprolol tartrate, and amlodipine besylate that my doctor prescribed for me when I got stung by a bee in October of 2008.
